The requirements for tweezers could not be more diverse. For this reason, we are constantly expanding our range of tweezers with useful models, either new shapes or more technically sophisticated materials.
Whether working on statically sensitive electronics, in the EPA area, in the clean room, in the dental area or in the laboratory, our tweezers are used just as much as by jewellers, watchmakers or in arts and crafts - BERNSTEIN tweezers meet the highest quality requirements, wherever they are used.
If you do not find what you are looking for on the following pages, please contact us. Together we will find the right tweezers for you.
Our product selection ranges from microscope tweezers manufactured with exact tolerances (recently also with ergonomically adapted recessed grips) to interchangeable or cutting tips, to all possible universal shapes or self-holding tweezers.
Traditional tweezers are made from high-quality steel or stainless steel. We also manufacture tweezers made from titanium, ceramic, plastic or even bamboo.
The different surface finishes allow us to support a vast range of applications. Necessary electrostatic discharge in the ESD area from conductive to dissipative, even insulating tips up to VDE-certified tweezers for work under voltage 1000V.
We would be pleased to develop further interesting fields of application with your requirements, please contact us.
DELICATE TWEEZERS
SMD assembly requires the finest precision tweezers due to the increasingly smaller components. The variety of shapes and a parallel tip end enable reliable handling of components, even in confined spaces. In electronics manufacturing, anti-magnetic, acid and corrosion resistant stainless steel (SA) is preferred with a particularly high strength, making the fine tips extremely hard and resistant; titanium and plastic are also materials in demand.
Made of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished. The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm.
ULTRA-FINE TWEEZERS
For precise gripping, holding and positioning work in laboratories, on test equipment, especially under the microscope. With a peak dimension of 0.2 mm at a tolerance of +/-0.05, even robots can be equipped with it (pick-and-place), as a repeatable setting can be made possible.
Made of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished. The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm.
Titanium Tweezers
Tweezers made of titanium material meet the highest technical requirements, are very light, corrosion resistant, even against aggressive acids, anti-magnetic, anti-bacterial, heat resistant, solder repellent and anti-glare. Titanium material has proven itself especially in soldering. On the one hand, the tweezers can be touched very briefly due to its almost non-existent heat dissipation capacity, and on the other hand, the soldering material rolls off without leaving any residue. The high acid resistance to fluxes (soldering fluid based on hydrochloric acid, salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid, adipic acid, soldering grease) makes the titanium tweezers the ideal soldering hand tool. In medicine, particular value is placed on the very good cleaning properties, maximum biocompatibility (no release of metal ions), strong mechanical resilience and corrosion resistance of titanium tweezers.
TWEEZERS WITH INTERCHANGEABLE TIPS
The basic body of the tweezers offers the possibility of exchanging different tips depending on their shape or condition by means of a screw connection. Partly because the materials of the tips would be too expensive as whole tweezers or the production of these tweezers as a whole is not possible. These can be high-quality carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, Delrin or a special ESD ceramic, which can be used excellently for very sensitive components.
Made of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished. The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm.
The body of the tweezers is made of anti-magnetic, stainless and acid-resistant stainless steel, with a reflection-free matt finish.
WAFER TWEEZERS
For positioning flat and thin components, such as highly sensitive and fragile wafers (glass wafers, etc.), thin PCBs and LCDs.
Made of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished. The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm.
CUTTING TWEEZERS
Best suited for soft wires up to Ø 0.25 mm, for example, copper wire, gold wire and silver wire. The cutting edges are particularly sharp and hard for angled or flush cutting.
Made of high-quality carbon steel (INOX) CARE NOTE: High humidity or touching with fingers (sweat) causes carbon steel to rust. Therefore, the tweezers should always be kept dry or rubbed with oil if stored for a long time. If rust nevertheless forms on the tweezers or blade, it can be removed quite easily with a light sharpening.
The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm.
SELF-HOLDING TWEEZERS
For easy holding and positioning without slipping, self-holding tweezers with different jaw shapes are suitable depending on the application. For soldering transistors, gold wire diodes, etc., use heat dissipating tweezers with copper jaw receptacles.
Made of high-quality nickel-plated steel, not antimagnetic or of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished matt.
Dissipative ESD coating on request.
GEOMETRIC TWEEZERS
All types of receptacles are possible. For easy pulling and inserting of round or cubic components, convex or long-hollow tips with the corresponding mounting diameter are suitable. A PVC dip insulation of the tips protects sensitive parts made of plastic or glass, such as laser optics or other optomechanical components.
Made of high quality steel, nickel plated, non-magnetic or of anti-magnetic, rust and acid resistant stainless steel, non-reflective, satin polished.
The conductive ESD coating achieves a discharge resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm, other models with conductive ESD coating on request.
UNIVERSAL TWEEZERS
These are anatomical tweezers with a slightly larger body. And some have a cut (small grooves in the tip) for better, stable gripping with precise tip parallelism, for removing foreign bodies in medicine. Or for work in the laboratory, curved, slightly angled versions support an ergonomic hand posture with high gripping repetitions.
Made of high-quality nickel-plated steel, not antimagnetic, or of antimagnetic, rustproof and acid-resistant stainless steel, reflection-free, finely polished to a matt finish.
The dissipative ESD coating achieves a dissipative resistance of 10^6 - 10^9 Ohm, other models with dissipative ESD coating on request.
VDE TWEEZERS
With two-colour multi-layer dipped insulation red on the outside - yellow on the inside. Damage to the outer red insulation is immediately visible through the yellow insulation underneath. The advantage is a simple safety check that is visible at all times. VDE tweezers, for work under voltage 1000V, are tested according to DIN IEC 60900 / EN 60900.
